Zo maar een gedachte die bij me opkwam. Parelli-systeem is ontwikkeld als reactie op het paarden gebeuren in Amerika. In andere delen van de wereld oa europa bestaat eeen heel andere paardentraditie met zijn eigen kennis over paarden. Ik vraag me af in hoeverre het Parellisysteem open staat voor kennis uit andere gebieden. Het zou het systeem toch alleen ten goede komen. Nu zijn er veel mensen die veel goeds zien in het systeem maar tevens vinden dat het niet alles dekt. Dan krijg je 'afvallige' instructeurs en organisaties die Parelli integreren in een groter geheel.

Ik vraag me af in hoeverre het Parellisysteem open staat voor kennis uit andere gebieden.

Engels en western kunnen van elkaar leren, dat is wat Parelli altijd al geroepen heeft. Verder is de VS zo enorm groot, dat de paardentradities ook enorm verschillend zijn door het land.

Nou meneer Parelli zelf maakt het zijn instructeurs ook niet makkelijk in mijn ogen met zijn hard franchise ideetjes...
Ik weet niet of je wel eens van een piramidespel gehoord hebt, maar stiekum vind ik het daar wel een beetje op lijken
En dat vind ik jammer! Want dat maakt dat instructeurs eerst bakken met geld moeten neerleggen, maar wanneer ze eenmaal instructeur zijn en ook nog keihard voor moeten knokken.
Hierin vind ik dat meneer Parelli voorbij streeft in zijn oorspronkelijke doel zoveel mogelijk mensen de weg naar horseman te laten ontdekken.

En nogmaals, commercie vind ik prima, maar je kan er ook in doorslaan.

Het is mij nog niet helemaal duidelijk. Ik was vorig weekend op de Salon de Cheval in Parijs voor Tackroom en was natuurlijk ook op de stand van La Cense. Zij hadden een fantastische grote stand van La Sence met de eigen boeken en programma en ik werd direct aangesproken om lid te worden van het clubje voor euro 19,50 per maand. Het woord parelli komt nergens meer voor. Echter er was op hun stand wel een aparte winkel, met poortje zoals in supermarkt en bewaking bij de ingang die maar een klein aantal mensen tegelijkertijd binnen liet. In deze winkel was alles orgineel van parelli te koop en ik dacht geen materialen van hun zelf. Blijven ze wel distributeur van de praktijkmaterialen en niet van het lesmateriaal?

Dear Member

Following the recent announcement regarding the termination of the Parelli Natural Horsemanship distributors licence, we would like to outline what this means in practical terms to our members.

In reality the decision will have very little impact on our members.

We will no longer produce Pat Parelli training packs and DVDs at the lowest possible cost to you. From now we must import them. Naturally this will increase the price to you of these products and we will only import them if sufficient demand exists. Parelli Natural Horsemanship USA now wish to manufacture and supply direct. In 2006 we will introduce our own new products to progress your horsemanship.

The original Pat Parelli programme will no longer be available once our stocks are exhausted.

Everything else remains the same.

Equipment: We will continue to have a full range of equipment available, both professional (the familiar range of rope products), the new competitively priced low-cost standard range for those with budget considerations and in the first quarter of 2006 the new Semi-professional range to be announced.

All other items remain available eg bareback pads, 45ft lines etc.

Membership: The Savvy Club remains the same with the same benefits of Monthly magazine, occasional DVDs, points plus cash scheme, discounts off equipment and events, anniversary points and points on passing a level.

The Equine Ethology Association membership and benefits also remain the same.

Study: As always members still have a choice to study with Equine Ethology registered instructors, Parelli registered instructors, other instructors, home study or attend the NEEC on one of the nationally accredited Equine Ethology stage courses.

The situation with regards to assessment also has not changed.

If you want to receive a formally recognised qualification, then you can attend a course at the NEEC or enquire with an Equine Ethology registered instructor in your area (contact details in magazine).

If you want your levels assessed you can send a tape or arrange a live assessment with a Parelli registered instructor. For an awards pack, the assessing instructor can arrange with us for this to be issued.

The only thing that will impact on your ability to progress is the recent decision by Parelli Natural Horsemanship USA to insist all level 3 tapes must be assessed in the USA and instructors no longer have permission to assess you. All instructor training is now exclusively in the USA.

Your choices have now expanded with more instructors and more courses for your horsemanship progress.

We hope this clears up any concerns regarding availability of goods, services and membership.
